Jiashun Zhou is an American artist born in 1998 in Chicago, USA. He obtained a BFA in Fiber and Textile at the University of the Arts Philadelphia in 2023 and he is currently pursuing an MFA in Fibre and Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2025.
Jiashun Zhou's practice explores memory as a spatial and sensory experience. Through weaving, he translates emotional, tactile, and bodily encounters with lived environments into textile forms, treating space as fluid, mutable, and inseparable from identity. His work prioritises feeling over visual representation, revealing memory as something both constructed and continuously reshaped through experience.
